Setup Task List

The following is a list of tasks, which need to be performed in sequence when configuring your SupportDesk system.

On the Server

  • Create SupportDesk Database on Server with associated User, by which SupportDesk software can connect. Contact your Database Administrator (DBA) for details.

  • Install SupportDesk onto application Server.

See Server Installation page.

  • Configure and test connection to Server Database.

See Database Connection (Within Client Installation) page.

  • Log into SupportDesk and check program operation is OK.

On each Client Machine

  • Install Database Connection software (Custom Install)

  • Configure and test connection to Server Database

  • Log into SupportDesk and check program operation is OK.
