At House-on-the-Hill, we are continually extending our efforts to support humanitarian causes, whether locally, nationally or internationally. As such, we are proud to support the following charities, fund-raising events and work experience programs:
Like many people across the UK we were touched by Marcus Rashford’s campaign with FareShare to tackle childhood hunger across the UK. It has been an incredibly tough year for many with an ever-increasing number of people unable to afford the food they need to feed their families and themselves.
A very special cause we were able to support this year was Operation Oscar! Oscar is a young football fan that many of our employees have came to know at our local football team West Didsbury and Chorlton AFC. 6-year-old Oscar has cerebral Palsy and is raising funds for a life changing operation called SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) which will potentially let him stand on his own two feet in future. This is a wonderful cause that you can learn more about here
World Vision is the world’s largest international children’s charity improving the lives of the world’s poorest children by working closely with communities to tackle the root causes of poverty. For more than 20 years House-on-the-Hill has sponsored children around the world, through donating money and communicating with children personally, bringing real hope and changing their life, together with the lives of many more growing up alongside them. World Vision improves the lives of the world’s poorest children by working closely with communities to tackle the root causes of poverty.
