itSMF UK boss to brief House guests on strategy

Ben Clacy, who has responsibility for running itSMF UK, is to be a key speaker at House-on-the-Hill’s annual User Group on 20 October.

Currently the organisation’s Deputy CEO, Ben is in day-to-day charge of the founding Chapter of the IT Service Management Forum, the independent and internationally recognised forum for ITSM professionals, pending the appointment of a new Chief Executive next January.

My presentation will look at IT Service Management today then at key areas for the present and future, Ben commented. It will look at parts of IT Service Management that could be the difference in making it a part of the business that really leads strategically.

He added: The ways in which we deliver IT services are forever changing. In a market place that is associated with fast moving technological developments, are we really keeping up with our own market?

House-on-the-Hill’s Third User Group conference will take place at Craven Cottage, home of English Premier football club Fulham.

Last year, customers were addressed by Howard Kendall, Chairman and Founder of the Service Desk Institute.

We’re delighted to have Ben as one of our guest speakers, said House-on-the-Hill Managing Director Iain Broadhead. It will give our customers a rare opportunity to get the latest strategic thinking from a key insider. We are keen that they meet top people in the industry as well as learn more about the many benefits of using our products.

“There are lots of ticket management systems out there, but the customer service that we receive is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, not question is too silly to ask, and the system does everything you would want it do. It’s a good price in a competitive market with exceptional customer service.”
